Today Garmin introduced it's new 3500 series , the Approach G6 golfing GPS and an Android app at CES 2012.
The new 3500s have the ultra-thin form factor and and inch of screen space,taking it up to five.It is on the top-of the-line of all Navigation-goodies you could want, it has Guidance 3.0 engine, Digital 3D Traffic and PhotoReal junction view with which you can view real photos direct from traffic cameras covering some 60,000 junctions in US and Canada.3590 LMT of there new 3500 series is also compatible with there latest Android app. Company gave free lifetime map updates to it's 3550 LM which will cost $369.99 when it launches in February.The 3590LMT which is blutooth enabled also gets same benefits, plus it also gets digital 3D traffic updates and Smartphone Link for an extra $30.
If you're more into tearing up the fairway than the freeway then Garmin's lawn friendly Approach G6 golfing is definitely for you.It's mapped courses has been upped to 20,000 from the G5's 17,000.G6 will also launch in February and will cost about $299 out of your children's college fund.
Last thing from Garmin's new wares is the aforementioned Android app:Smartphone Link which we mentioned above.It has some free and some not so free functionality to your Bluetooth enabled 2012 nuvi.It is an Android app which you can install on your phone which uses your cells data plan instead of being bundled into GPS itself at an extra cost. This app let's you enjoy services such as traffic information, traffic camera images, weather and fuel prices on your Nuvi. The prices of each service will vary, but range from $4.99 to $19.99 for a year's access.
