If you thought 2011 seemed to be the year which gave us most tablets possible, it’s time to think again. With CES being just four days away, eFun announced their latest tablet, the Nextbook Elite 10 which they will be showcasing at the show along with their other line-up of products.
The Nextbook Elite 10 features the latest version of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with a dual-core Broadcom A9 processor clocked at 1.1 GHz. The tablet has a 9.7-inch capacitive display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 with an aspect ratio of 4:3. It also has an onboard 8GB of memory.
According to eFun’s managing director and vice-president of sales, Jason Liszewski, their new model of Nextbook series has been specifically designed for leisure, work and school, with the Elite 10 giving access to thousands applications for those purposes along with basic functionalities such as Bluetooth and cameras on both sides for video calling facility.
Some other features of the tablet includes built-in Wi-Fi for internet access and capability to upgrade OS over the air. The tab also features an HDMI port and the memory can be increased using the given MicroSD card slot. Speaking of the camera, the Elite 10 has a 5 MP rear facing and a 2 MP front facing camera for photo and video capturing.
The Tablet is preloaded with software like the Kobo eBook Store, the Android Market, OfficeSuite Viewer for accessing documents and ASTRO File Manager for managing files on the device. The eFun Nextbook Elite 10 will be available at a price point of $249.99, which is quite impressive compared to other tablets offering Android 4.0. It is expected to be on shelves by the Spring of 2012.
