Sony launched it's first phone without Ericsson ( a kind of) at CES 2012. Earlier we thought that this was the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc HD but it ended up being Sony Xperia S.
We used that (kind of) because at press release this phone was introduced without Ericsson moniker but when we actually got our hands on it, the device clearly stated Sony Ericsson. So that confirms that the Xperia S that we saw won't be the final version because it has that Ericsson moniker ,the final version will be without Ericsson.
The Xperia S is the first next-generation Xperia smartphone and comes with a great specification and as for the design, It has a great, sleek look and we love the little design flourishes, feature that we liked most is the see-through strip near the bottom of the device. This is then met with an off-color lip and Sony has said that they will continue this design in the future and be used on other upcoming phones.
On the front of the chassis it has the touch buttons that controls the phone and quit soft. In the hand it feels thin and soft not too bulky.
As for the Specifications it has 4.3 inch Realty touch-screen which runs Mobile Bravia technology at 720p that means you can view true HD videos on your mobile. Xperia S has 1.5GHz dual-core processor which make it first Xperia device to have multiple cores. The camera comes in at 12 mega-pixels , has Exmor R technology and can record 1080p videos. You never get the chance to miss the perfect moment because it take shots in just 1.5 seconds from standby. You also get 32GB of Flash memory for storing your files on the Xperia S.
Gaming will never be a problem because it is Playstation Certified meaning that Sony guarantee an optimized gaming experience. Plus it includes WiFi,Bluetooth,DLNA and NFC. It also features a full HDMI-port for connecting to your HDTV and a USB port with full tethering support.
The Xperia S also showcases a new "iconic design" which will run across all of Sony's next-generation Xperia smartphones.
The only thing that you will not like is that it'll launch on Gingerbread, but Sony have promised it'll get Ice Cream Sandwich in the Q2 of 2012.
The Sony Xperia S will launch in the first quarter of 2012 across the World and once we get a price we'll let you know.
