HTC has announced the One S at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device will feature a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 1650mAh battery and a 4.3-inch qHD display. In addition to this HTC touts some unique differentiators for its ‘One’ series of smartphones such as – Image Sense technology and HTC Sense 4. Apart from this, the HTC One S will have a super slim form factor at only 7.9mm and will also offer users 25GB of cloud storage via DropBox for two years.
With Image Sense HTC is not only claiming superior image quality in low-light, it brings forth an adaptable flash, enhanced HDR photography and dual shutter buttons for simultaneous operation of video and still photography. In addition to this, HTC has made numerous tweaks to both the software and hardware enabling a superior photography experience.
Furthermore, HTC also brings the new Sense 4 UI to the forefront, which not only provides a new UI for Android 4.0, but also includes integration for its Beats’ audio technology with third party streaming services like Spotify. Sense 4 will also introduce Wi-Fi syncing abilities to HTC devices. The HTC One S will run Google Android 4.0 out of the box with Sense 4 and will ship in between late March and early April.
