VLC player, as you know, has been among the various popular desktop applications available in your midst. The player has now reached the Android platform, and that means the wonderful media player will now work on Android smartphones and tablets.
Before you jump to conclusions, let’s also tell you the Android version of VLC app is an unofficial one. This open-source video app version has been developed on the basis of published code from the Linux desktop edition.
Meanwhile, VideoLAN.org is expected to release the official app for Android later this year. Earlier, it was revealed that the company is working on the Android version of the video app.
